Owner-accompanied delivery
More useful than watching the yacht disappear over the horizon.
A newly purchased or unfamiliar yacht has to reach its next berth. That same passage can also give the owner practical time aboard with an experienced commercial skipper: preparing the boat, using its systems, making route decisions and settling into a safe routine underway.
This is boat-specific familiarisation built around a professional delivery. It is not an RYA course, an examination or formal certification.

Delivery first
The skipper remains responsible for the safe passage. Participation is shaped around the weather, yacht, crew and owner’s existing experience.
Particularly useful after a purchase
Turn the journey from the broker or yard into a proper introduction.
An owner-accompanied passage can be especially valuable when the yacht is newly purchased, has unfamiliar systems, or is moving to a new cruising area. It does not replace a survey, engineering inspection or formal training. It adds something different: time using the actual boat in real conditions, with the delivery completed at the same time.
