The passage
From the Swedish archipelago to the Solent.
This new-build Arcona 435 needed to move from Henån on Sweden’s west coast to the Hamble.
After a day threading through the archipelago, the forecast favoured the direct North Sea route around northern Denmark. The Kiel Canal remained a fallback, but conditions allowed the yacht to continue outside and make the most of her performance under sail.

Passage notes
The brief
Move a newly built performance cruiser from Sweden to the UK efficiently, while giving the yacht and her systems a proper first offshore passage.
The route
From Henån through the archipelago, around northern Denmark and down the North Sea. Helgoland provided an overnight fuel stop before a customs clearance on the Belgian coast and the run towards the Channel.
The sailing
An offshore wind on the beam delivered one of the standout legs towards Calais, with mainsail and genoa driving the Arcona at around 10–11 knots. The Channel crossing continued overnight before a busy Solent approach and arrival in the Hamble.
