From the Swedish archipelago to the Solent.
Three crew departed Henån aboard a new-build Arcona 435. The first 15 nautical miles wound through the Swedish archipelago before the route turned north past Grenen and around Denmark rather than through the Kiel Canal.
The passage covered almost 836 nautical miles through the North Sea and English Channel. Fuel access, customs and headwinds shaped the stops at Helgoland, Zeebrugge and Brighton, while the yacht still delivered standout sailing along the Belgian coast towards Calais.

The departure
Showery conditions accompanied the first 15 nautical miles through the Swedish archipelago. Once clear, the yacht took the northern route past Grenen and around Denmark.
Fuel & customs
Limited access to fuel on the Danish coast made Helgoland the practical stop after a foggy North Sea leg. The yacht refuelled there before continuing 260 nautical miles to Zeebrugge for customs, a coffee and a shower.
The Channel
The leg towards Calais produced standout sailing at around 10–11 knots. After crossing the traffic lanes on a near-right-angle course, strong headwinds prompted a Brighton stop before the final 54 nautical miles to the Hamble.
